Accessibility
Exegetical aims to make Bible study usable with a keyboard, readable text, clear labels and responsive layouts. Effective November 3, 2026.
Available features
The reader supports adjustable Scripture text size, light/dark themes and focused reading. Buttons, forms, modal dialogs and selectors use standard browser controls and keyboard focus indicators. On smaller screens, study tools move below the reader. Profile pictures have text alternatives, and conversations label the sender and time of each message.
Known limits
The site is under active development and has not undergone an independent accessibility audit. We do not claim certified WCAG conformance. External Bible text, Hebrew/Greek fonts, long commentary entries and browser-specific dialog behavior may present challenges. Message polling updates the conversation without resetting the typing field; reading sync is designed to preserve your current passage and input.
Tell us what is difficult
Use the Contact & requests page and choose Accessibility. If possible, include the page, the task you were attempting, your browser and assistive technology, and the behavior you expected. Avoid including private notes or messages unless needed to explain the problem. General non-sensitive bugs can also be filed in the project repository.
